Floor Care

Initially founded in 2004, Orion Cleaning Services Ltd began specializing in floorcare. We will undertake the deep cleaning and daily maintanence of all types of hard floor. In the last 12 months we have completed jobs on the following types of floor with excellent results:

Marble/Granite: Using Diamond pads we ‘polish’ the floor, ironing out the smallest of imperfections, to finish we use a method called vitrification, which involves spraying a specially formulated acid product on to the the floor and burnishing with fine steel wool pads. This produces an excellent shine which is long lasting.

Vinyl: With vinyl floors we scrub off the floor to the bare tile using an aggressive stripper chemical, removing any old polish, scuffs and blemishes from the floor. We then rinse the floor and when dry, apply 3-4 coats of 25% high solids polish. This produces an excellent shine, we can advise our clients on the best methods to maintain this freshly polished appearance.

Altro/Non-slip: Using heavy slow speed scrubbing machines we can scrub back your non-slip floor with an aggressive degreaser. This transforms the appearance of the floor and also helps to retain its non-slip property. This is particularly useful in commercial kitchens.

Wooden floor: We sand back wooden floors and treat with liquid floor wax for the best results.

Terrazzo: Diamond grinding is an ideal method for terrazzo flooring found in supermarkets, retail outlets, railway stations and airports. This is a wet process so produces no dust, it also requires no chemicals and the results are lasting. By grinding flat the smallest of imperfections in the floor you allow more light to reflect from it, causing the appearance of a very shiny floor.
